Eco-Fashion is our current flagship project.

Designed to raise awareness about environmental issues over the last 3 years this innovative and unique project has enabled over 500 young people to experience at first hand the challenge and excitement of designing and making clothing. The creations are then displayed at a full-scale professional fashion show to an audience of hundreds of peers and family.

The workshops encourage students to explore and develop their skills and knowledge about fashion and design whilst using recycled materials to create extraordinary and stylish garments, including accessories. We also work with a local designer Sibel Lagerdahl from leftover.co.uk who brings a wealth of experience in recycling clothes. Additional workshops encompass drama, music and multimedia to raise the overall impact of the show.

Eco-Fashion is a multi faceted education & performance project which to date has been delivered in 20 schools with 4 shows in professional theatre environments. The workshops are also designed and developed to support and complement Key Stages 3/4 in Art/Design & Technology.

For the fashion show Spectral artists construct a catwalk, set-up and program lighting, sound equipment, mixing desk, video-projection and arrange costumes for the students in the dressing rooms. Spectral Arts also choreograph and style the performers to be present and organise/manage supporting staff.
